  Step 1 Warming up

  1. 播放学生志愿者进行义务帮助别人的活动视频,通过询问他们以下问题来引

  导学生们了解社会上一些的志愿们进行的活动。

  T: Who are they?

  S:They’re volunteers. They usually volunteer to help others.

  T: How could we help people?

  S1: We could clean up the parks

  S2: We could help sick people in the hospital.

  S3: We could help plant trees.

  Step 2 New words

  1. city n. 城市

  e.g. The library is in the north of the city. 图书馆在城市的北部。

  2. notice n. 公告牌;通告;布告

  e.g. Please read the list on the notice board. 请读公告板上的名单。

  3. sign n. 标志;信号

  e.g. Look around, we could see no sign of life.

  环顾四围,我们看不出一点生命的迹象。

  4. volunteer v. 义务劳动,自愿做 volunteer to do sth. 义务自愿做某事 e.g. Many people volunteer to work on the farm. 很多人志愿到农场去工作。

  5. clean up 打扫;清除

  1. 1a. Look at the ways you could help others. Then list other ways.

  2. Ss discuss with their partners and write the ways one could help others: ① Help plant trees by the river.

  ② Help clean up the city park.

  ③ Visit the old people in the old people’s home.

  ④ Help young kids to learn English.

  Step 4 Listening

  1. T: Tell Ss to read the sentences in the chart. Make sure they know the meaning of

  the sentences.

  知识与能力 能够读懂介绍建议的文章,并且能够用书信的方式提出学习建议。

  过程与方法 通过小组合作的方式,提高学生快速掌握文章脉络并且迅速获取有效信息的阅读能力;具有注重培养并逐步形成策略性学习的意识;巩固已学过的向他人提建议的英语表达方式及其答语, 使学生会运用该结构进行表达与交流。

  与价值观 通过学习提出建议,掌握与他人交流时语言的得体性, 培养学生恰当的向他人提建议的方式,对他人的建议要表示感谢。

  Lead in 本活动的目的在于激活话题,为课文阅读提供引子,导入课文,通过题目谈论并预测文章内容。激发学生学习兴趣,调动学习积极性。 T: What’s your favourite subject at school?

  T: Show the title, and ask : What’s your problem about learning English? The students work in pairs and think about some questions they would like to ask .

  Give the students more suggestions about pronunciation and spelling.

  Read the text quickly and do it.

  Activity 3:Retelling The text.

  Divide the whole class into groups.

  Read the passage loudly, work in small groups of four, and try to make a dialogue to act out the text.

  Summarize what they did better in learning English.

  让学生总结自己在英语学习中较成功的地方,激发英语学习热      情,学习他人经验,取长补短,指导今后英语学习。 List the things which you are better at, and summarize the experience, share with your classmates. Using these categories:

  Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Translation.
